In the midst of an international crisis, career diplomat Kate Wyler is thrust into an ill-suited job, with topographical consequences for her marriage and her political future. The British government allowed them to use real-world settings as filming locations for the series, including the still-recent US Embassy (at Nine Elms), which opened in 2018.

The only place unavailable was Winfield House, the actual home of the American ambassador. Although it is accurately described as occupying the largest residential plot (11 acres) in London other than Buckingham Palace, the producers used a country house outside the city for filming.

It was so good that I watched all 8 episodes and when the last one ended, I screamed at the TV in frustration. I will happily sit back and watch 8 more episodes.

This is original, clever and really well done

One of those rare gems in a quality cast where every character has a well-developed personality that you can follow every plot twist, even the most complex. Amazing TV, when I really just want to go to bed.
